Working towards the fulfillment of its objective to strive towards the use of modern and sophisticated technologies, the Deanship of Information Technology and Distance Education at the University began the provision of 16 meeting rooms with videoconferencing system. The aim of this implementation is to serve and facilitate the communication process and the holding of meetings within the branches of the university, as well as externally. The University has been keen to provide the best available techniques in this field through the selection of the best technology available globally, from Polycom, which features an advanced specification that enables the display resolution of the visual communication to be (HD 1080). It also offers support for Multi-Site Communication, which enables multiple simultaneous connections and links to be made via telephone.
These halls will link a number of major headquarters of the university across all the provinces and their sections for men and women. These halls to be the nucleus of a larger project in which all university halls and rooms will be inter-linked in order to facilitate communication and the transfer of lectures and presentations.
