During a meeting held on January 17, 2024, at the Engineering College theater, the Director-General of IT at the university, Mr. Walid Al-Sulaitin, along with Dr. Raed Al-Yousef, the Vice President, and the staff of the General Administration of IT, reviewed the administration's key achievements and objectives for 2023 and aspirations for 2024.
Mr. Al-Sulaitin highlighted qualitative achievements achieved through perseverance, passion, and teamwork, with a goal and project achievement rate of 89.61% out of 64 executive goals and projects. The initiatives launched in 2023 were instrumental in achieving strategic objectives, including the inauguration of digital services, application development for smart devices, and a 94% satisfaction rate with technical support services.
Notable achievements included the development of the second version of Sattam Chatbot, the enhancement of the PSAU Prize for Research and Innovation platform, and a notable increase in the university's digital transformation index to 77.8% from 68.94% in 2022.
Future goals and projects, comprising 72 executive goals and initiatives, align with the university's plans and objectives and reflect the Digital Government Authority's aims for local and global digital transformation. The administration aims to continue supporting the university's digital transformation process in 2024.
Dr. Al-Yousef expressed gratitude to the administration staff for their achievements and emphasized the importance of their continued initiative and innovation to support the university's goals and digital transformation efforts. He encouraged them to maintain their spirit of innovation, anticipating further progress in the upcoming phase.
