Under the patronage of His Excellency the University President, Prof. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Tamimi, the University, represented by the General Administration of Information Technology, will organize the Digital Innovation Hackathon – Towards an Innovative University Life, starting tomorrow, Friday, April 17, 2026, and continuing until Sunday, April 19, 2026.
The organization of the hackathon comes as part of the University’s ongoing efforts to promote digital innovation and support creative ideas, contributing to the development of the university environment and the enhancement of the quality of educational life. This will be achieved by empowering participants to present innovative technological solutions that serve various aspects of academic and administrative work.
The hackathon has witnessed significant interest, with a total of 150 submissions received. These were evaluated by the preliminary screening team based on a set of defined criteria and guidelines, resulting in the selection of 39 submissions to advance to the final stage and compete within the hackathon events.
The outcomes of the hackathon are expected to contribute to the introduction of high-quality initiatives that will strengthen the University’s digital transformation journey and support its direction toward building an innovative and sustainable university environment.
